What can I say? The heart wants what the heart wants… there’s no way of stopping it, believe me i’ve tried. But what do you do when it’s unrequited love? Enjoy the feeling. For you are capable of a beautiful emotion. You are capable of love and being loved. That my friends, is truly amazing.
It’s like heaven in my mouth. No, seriously! The moment that Earth Balance Coconut and Peanut Butter touched my taste buds, I was addicted. Much like Brangelina, coconut and peanut butter have an undeniable chemistry. Two healthy and respected foods married into one creamy, flavorful and scrumptious spread. A little taste of Thailand on toast, it’s really too much to handle!
I first heard of Earth Balance from a vegetarian friend who has done tons of research on foods and vitamins and is a dedicated animal activist. Taking her advice, I purchased the soy-free buttery spread and was very pleased with the creamy taste and the fact that it was dairy-free. So when I haphazardly came across the Coconut and Peanut Butter Spread, I just HAD to try it. I love it so much that it deserves a shout out, and so does Earth Balance.
Earth Balance describe themselves as an ‘organic-minded’ company. Originating in Colarado, the company uses products that are 100% plant-based, vegan, non-GMO, lactose-free, gluten-free, egg-free, casein-free, and have 0g of trans fat. And guess what else? Earth Balance is committed to health and environmental responsibility. I will continue to buy these products, not only because they taste so fabulous, but because of what they stand for. Eat good, feel good, do good.
I want this ring. I must have this ring. I have had an obsession with Wonder Woman since I was a little girl and I have never wanted anything more than I have wanted this ring. Ok, maybe that’s an overstatement, but nevertheless.. I WANT THIS RING! It’s 1700 dollars. Suddenly I am finding every excuse in my childhood memory bank as to why I should own this ring. The grown up me says “you are too old to wear a wonder woman ring” The little girl in me says “oh, but if you were a little girl you would not ever be able to afford such a gorgeous ring” The grown up in me says “I could eat Kraft Dinner for a month and be ok…” wait.. what am I thinking? Kraft Dinner? Maybe I could just go on dates with boring men and eat at fancy restaurants like that girl, Erin Wotherspoon in Toronto who got famous for blogging about it. Clearly I need to reevaluate my obsession with Wonder Woman or maybe next Christmas I should just ask Santa for the ring. I can be good for another 355 days….I MUST HAVE THIS RING!
I made it my New Year’s resolution to draw from these Permission cards daily. Just like a morning cup of coffee, these affirmation cards help my day get off to a good start. The mind is a powerful thing and manifesting positive messages before I start my day helps to take the piss out of my cornflakes.
Today’s message “Learn From Life”. Well, it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out that life is ALL about learning. Although life’s lessons are open to interpretation and individual perspective; much like children’s programming… there is most always a lesson to be learned at the end of each day.
So, what was my life lesson for today? It was a lesson I have learned over and over again, but needed another reminder to simply LISTEN. It’s a quality that so important yet so difficult to master unless you take a vow of silence. Besides, I don’t need to be the one always talking. The planet is my University and knowledge awaits.
These ‘Permission Cards’ are by Lyn Weinstein at Reflective Heart Creations and purchased at Banyen Books in Vancouver, BC.
